Welcome to Gourds By Cindy (formally ShowMeGourds) by Cindy Kendall. Each gourd you find here is initially hand selected by me for its form and feel. With a mental picture of a completed gourd I set about applying that image upon the proper gourd. During this process the gourd may guide me to the ideal embellishment.

Like the gourds themselves, the designs I create are based in nature to cradle and envelop each form. Twine, pine needles and willow branches are some of the natural materials I prefer to combine with earth tone stains. I am also applying years of ceramic experience to experiment with patinas that emulate pottery.

Paramount to me is sharing with the buyer a gourd that best exemplifies my passion and enjoyment.
